STATE OF THE REGION REPORT 2007

The State of the Region Report, drawing on the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report, has become an appreciated and respected institution evaluating competitiveness, economic performance and prosperity in the Baltic Sea Region. The Report is used by governments, organizations, financial institutions and private actors.

The Report takes a renewed look at where the Region performs well and where further action is needed. Furthermore, this year’s Report analyses the market attractiveness of the Baltic Sea Region from the practical experience of senior regional business leaders. Finally, it looks specifically at areas where regional cooperation can add value to the national and EU-27 dimensions.

The 2007 State of the Region Report is written by Dr. Christian Ketels, Principal Associate at Harvard Business School. The Report is supported by the Nordic Investment Bank and the Nordic Council of Ministers.

The 2007 State of the Region Report is now released.
