
EU InterBaltic Project issues Transport Strategy Master Plan

The EU InterBaltic transport project, of which Baltic Development Forum has been an active partner, has been successfully concluded. The project recently developed a Draft Framework for a pan-Baltic Transport Strategy Master Plan with recommendations how to improve the infrastructure and transport sector in the Baltic Sea Region.

The project has addressed trade and the increasing cargo flows within and throughout the Baltic Sea Region, as well as concept development of dry ports to meet future capacity problems and not least, better coordination of modern technology systems in order to use different means of transport modes in one supply chain. Among the concrete outputs of the InterBaltic project is the recently issued a Draft Framework for a pan-Baltic Transport Strategy Master Plan with recommendations for improving the infrastructure and transport sector in the Baltic Sea Region.
