Baltic Sea 2020 Joins BDF as Strategic Partner

The aim of Baltic Sea 2020 is to stimulate creative interdisciplinary and international collaboration in a variety of areas, resulting in political, economical and physical measures taken to improve the environment of the Baltic Sea in the coming 10-15 years.

Baltic Sea 2020 was established as a fondation through a private donation made by Björn Carlson in the autumn 2005. Baltic Sea 2020 is an independent foundation whose objective is to contribute to improving the environment in the Baltic Sea by taking concrete measures. The foundation’s networks link together researchers from various disciplines and with different nationalities in order to identify the needs for knowledge and to report the most recent observations and findings.

Björn Carlson received the Swedbank Baltic Sea Award at the Baltic Development Forum Summit in Tallinn in November 2007. Read more here.
