Baltic Development Forum Members’ Conference

Building on the success from the 2nd Annual Baltic Development Forum Summit in Malmö in 2000, Baltic Development Forum decided to reorganize into a membership based organization in January 2001.
The Membership Group is an exclusive network consisting of business executives from large companies, business services, institutional investors and business associations and other key players in the Region. The members make up the core community of Baltic Development Forum.
On 26 June in connection with the visit of the Governor of St. Petersburg to Denmark, Baltic Development Forum hosted a “theme-lunch” for the Governor and the members of Baltic Development Forum with the attendance of the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Two key messages conveyed throughout the meeting:
- A coherent Region with no country lacking far behind
- Enlargement and the integration of Russia into the EU go hand in hand
