Yesterday BDF hosted a New Year’s reception for members, partners and friends to bid farewell to Uffe Ellemann-Jensen, who stepped down as Chairman of Baltic Development Forum as of 1 November. The event took place in the premises of the BDF Secretariat at Nygade 3, 5th Floor in Copenhagen.
About 50 guests participated, enjoying a drink while listening to speeches by the new BDF Chairman Hans Skov Christensen and Director Hans Brask.
Before the reception started, an informal roundtable discussion on Baltic Sea Region affairs was held with specially invited participants as a follow up to a conference organized on the Danish island Bornholm during the autumn 2011 as celebration of the 20 years anniversary of the regaining of independence of the three Baltic States. Furthermore the Union of the Baltic Cities’ Business Commission also joined the event, being in town for a separate meeting of theirs.
