Hans Skov Christensen
Hans Skov Christensen was Managing Director of Confederation of the Danish Industries from 1991-2010. He was CEO of the Confederation of Danish Employers from 1985-1991 and Director of the DA labor market policy features from 1979-1985.
Hans Skov Christensen took a master’s degree in economics at the University of Copenhagen. He worked several years as Assistant Lecturer in Economics and accountancy at the University of Copenhagen. For four years, He was a secretary of the Confederation of Danish Employers. There after he had become respectively Head of the Division and Head of the Department.
Simultaneously to his professional career at DA Hans Skov Christensen had taken stands as Herlev’ Deputy Major from 1974-1978, member of the Danish Economic Council from 1979-2010, member of the Royal Theatre Board from 1992-1999 and Board Member of Danish l Development Cooperation., Chairman of the UNICE Finance Committee from 1996-2000, Member of the Board of AP Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation for General Purposes from 1996-2002 and board member of Sund & Belt Holding A\S.
Furthermore, Mr. Hans Skov Chairman is a member of several boards of Danish and international companies in the region. He is member of the Board of the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels, member of the board of Tivoli A\S, member of the UNICE Executive Bureau, Vice-Chairman of the Søren Kirekegaard Research Centre, Chairman of the Board of the newspaper Kristeligt Dagblad, Deputy Chairman of Sund & Belt Holding A\S and President of the Board of Rail Net Denmark.
Hans Skov Christensen became Chairman of Baltic Development Forum in 2011.
Mr. Christensen is Commander of the Order of Danneborg. Commander of the Swedish Nordstjerne Order, Commander of the Brasilian South Cross Order and Commander of Luxembourg Royal Order. He was given the title The Lithuanian Diplomacy Star in 2011.
Born 22 July 1945 in Nørresundby, Denmark. Hans Skov Christensen had been married to Vibeke Skov Christensen who passed away in 2002, and is currently married to attorney Sys Rovsing.
