European challenges – Regional solutions: An Agenda for Jobs, Investments and Sustainable Growth
The objective with the two Summits is to make new advances in regional integration, as well as to further a green, economic recovery based upon innovative investments and projects. BDF and the Lithuanian Government work closely in preparing this agenda.
The Baltic Sea Region has all the competences and qualifications to brand itself internationally as the Green Valley of Europe and thereby attract foreign investments, create jobs and new business opportunities. New forms of public-private partnerships across borders, as well as a clear vision are needed. The EU strategy for the Baltic Sea Region sets a unique framework for defining a forward looking agenda, that can be used as inspiration for the EU’s 2020-agenda on a more competitive Europe. We will work with the Confederation of Industries and other business leaders of the region in defining the new goals.
We will measure the economic temperature and this year’s State of the Region Report will give guidance to all regional decision-makers and investors.
BDF is looking forward to come to Vilnius for the first time!
